“A Taste of BitterSweet Fruit” written by fairly new author DiSheka “Kharisma” Miller, is one a reader wouldn’t want to put down until they have reached the end.
It was released in 2007 and left readers wanting more after a teaser introduced the book’s sequel, “Venomous”.
This year “Venomous” has been released with more enjoyment for readers.
With the setting in Richmond, VA, readers may find themselves familiar with the different locations mentioned in the book.
It goes into the life of characters D.C. and Khalia who are to have a peaceful life together, but is interrupted by D.C.’s jealous, obsessed, ex-girlfriend FeFe.
FeFe wants D.C. back and will attempt to make that happen by any means necessary.
The couple’s neighbors and good friends, CoCoa and Reese Harris also have a number of challenges within their marriage. They try to move on after Reese cheats with a co-worker who ends up pregnant.
The book holds the reader’s attention as it also goes into each character’s mind.
Kharisma, a native of Richmond, was inspired to write novels after a relationship of hers didn’t work out about seven years ago.
A passion in writing started at a young age for Kharisma who began writing short stories.  She later created personal poems, soap operas, and television scripts.
